In Japanese culture, the Bushido was the home for Samurai. The Bushiban was their school. Bushiban is Evident Grace’s monthly gathering where men have a place to be honest, to be encouraged, and to find brothers. It is a gathering of laughter, accountability, study, and instruction just like any good home.
Our hope is to encourage godliness and build up Godly men. But godliness and the idea of Godly men are giant and overwhelming subjects. They sometimes impose more despair than hope. Part of the reason for that is that many men desire a Godly life but struggle to either see evidence of it or struggle to find a place where it is safe to work towards one. We want Bushiban to be the home for encouraging and building men in that struggle.
While accountability and committed covenant relationships are key, the stadium event, large scale efforts of the 2000’s have proved to not work in the long term. So, if a man wants to grow not only in Godliness, but in honesty and effort, where can he turn? Where can he grow in his thought life, home life, church life, and community life?
This is Bushiban.
What happens at Bushiban? Well, men, that will best be answered by showing up at one of our meetings. What we can promise you is lots of coffee and carbs as we usually meet the last Saturday of each month at 7am. Check our calendar of events for more detail.
